Matti May Hardie

Hey all,
Hows you?

1. I want to become a hairdresser.

2. Red nails is fast becoming my staple.

3. I have a massive lipstick fetish.

4. I love chips. Chips and mayo. Yummmm I'm litterally so hungry thinking about it.

5. I take a really long time to start using make-up products. I've only been wearing powder for just under a year, I don't even own a bronzer or a highlights, I've been wearing blush for, at a push, 5 months.

6. I'm made to be rich. I spend so much money a month it's ridiculous.

7. I have way more clothes than I need. I know that because I seem to wear the same things everday.

8. Since I grew up an only child, I adopt everyone. The number of people I consider my brothers and sisters is ridiculous.

9. However I do have a (real) little sister and an older half brother.

10. I have a fetish for real metalic jewelry. Get me a simple (not costume jewelry!) silver necklace and I will be yours forever.

11. I can never keep my room tidy yet I go into panic mode the rest of my apartment isn't tidy!
12. I hate having things on my hands.

13. I love to dye my hair. To date, I've dyed it dark brown numerous times and strawberry blond/unintentional blond ombre and highlights.

14. My celebrity crushes are Cara Delevingne, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sam Calfin, Lily Collins and Brooklyn Beckham. (Cue the fangirl emoji) - I mean look at them!!

15. I want to live in a Starbucks.

16. When I'm old enough and I have enough money I want to move back to England.

17. Ellen DeGeneres is one of my favourite humans.

18. I love quotes. I even have an app that sends you quotes everyday.

19. I am more a sweet person rather than a savoury person.

20. I'm a caller not a texter because I always have too much to say.

21. I could eat pizza every night of the week and not get tired of it.

22. I tweet way too much.

23. I Instagram way too much.

24. My eyes do this weird thing sometimes where for no reason they'll unfocus and refuse to refocus.

25. My favourite book is "The Lost Art Of Keeping Secrets" by Eva Rice. I think I've read that book well over 50 times.

26. When I was younger I would watch the "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Running Down A Dream Documentary directed by Peter Bogdanovich over and over and over (the thing is 4 hours long by the way).

27. Stevie Nicks, Cara Delevingne are massive role models to me.

28. I hate long car journeys.

29. I want to visit Rio de Janeiro, Cuba, New Orleans and Los Angeles when I've finished school.

30. I'm a caller not a texter.

31. I love both cats and dogs though I have a constant fear I'm becoming a cat lady.

32. I write blog posts in my head but then forget to write them out.

33. In some regions of my life I'm a total perfectionist, but then in others I just don't give an f.

34. I really really really really want an iPhone.

35. Following on from that previous fact, Apple is my favourite technology brand.

36. I love doing make-up. Whether it's my own or someone else's, I don't even care.

37. I'm verrrrrry paranoid. You could whisper in someone's ear and I'd think you're talking about me. I know that just sounds like I'm self obsessed but it's a genuine problem, trust me.

38. I also have anxiety and mild depression and BPD (all self diagnosed)

39. I get very attached very easily.

40. I'm an fucking open book. I could tell you my life story in less than 5 minutes if you let me.

41. I am 5ft1.

42. I'd be so good at being rich.

43. In a world of dreams, I'd live in skater skirts. Meanwhile in the real world, I can't pull them off because I have too big thighs and it hurts inside (the fact that I can't wear skater skirts, not the skirts themselves haha).

44. I get really moody when I'm hungry.

45. I change moods really fast. I can go from docile cat to hyper three year old on streoids in 2 seconds flat.

46. I love making internet friends.

47. I bloody love books.

48. I write blog posts in classes that I don't like (i.e. Maths, Physics, Chemistry, ect...)

49. I fangirl over guitars.

50. I want to learn how to play the piano so badly, but the fact that I don't own a piano doesn't help.

Hey all,
Hows you?

With exam season looming over me like a teacher with no sense of personal space, it's got me thinking about school and decisions and my future - yeah, those thoughts. Mid-summer holidays last year, I figured out what I wanted to do. Hairdressing. To become a hairdresser, I knew that I needed to go to college and that means no university. I was thinking about that, not because I want to go, but because a lot of people have been talking about university, their experiences there and I feel like I haven't seen many people have spoken about not going/why they didn't go.

Hey all,
Hows you?

Here it is, another installment of the only series on the internet where I unintentionally slag of various make-up and beauty brands in the most blatent ways ever.

Rimmel "Wonder'full" Mascara

I bought this a while back because I heard some pretty good reviews about it and at first I thought it was pretty good, but as I used it, I realised that it's not as good as I thought. It's almost impossible to get any length or volume in my eyelashes, despite the rigourous prepping I do before applying it. Also, it's really clumpy and just generally not great. I was shocked if I'm honest, normally, Rimmel is my holy grail brand, but to be honest I'm starting to be quite disappointed with their mascaras.

Hey all,
Hows you?

A couple of months ago, I did a post listing some of my favourite blogs of the moment. Since then, I've started reading quite a few more blogs that are absolutely fabulous and I wanted to share them with you guys!

The Sunday Chapter
Source

I think I've recomended this blog to way too many people. It's run by the lovely Angela and I feel like  it's the perfect wind-down blog. She's so wise and her content is incredible. She talks about food (mostly healthy recipes or alternatives which is good because I'm trying to be more healthy at the mo), beauty, and lists about how to improve your content/life ect... and I just love how diverse it is.  I recommend it to everyone, simply because, in my opinion there's something for pretty much everyone.

It's that time of the month again! Let's get straight into it shall we?

"White" Eau de Toilette by Zara
I bought this in Germany, we had spent an hour in Zara (that sounds like fun, but when you weren't the one shopping because you didn't like anything and because you didn't have enough money to make it worth while, it isn't as much fun as you'd think) and we were finally at the tills waiting to pay, and I caught sight of some perfumes next to the tills (you know, where they really make most of their money haha). I went to have a little look-see because I'd been looking for a summer scent for this summer (in case you're interested, last year's scent was The Body Shop's "White Musk Smoky Rose" fragrance mist). I had a little smell, and this was the first one I'd smelled; I fell in love. I kept smelling just in case and even though I had a little bit of a debate over "White" and "Black", but "White" won hands down. It's an almost perfect dupe for a high end scent, but I can't think what it is. Plus, it's super affordable, at only 8,99€, I think it's worth it.

The Vampire Diaires
If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know I have a slight obsession with The Vampire Diaries. On writing this, I'm on season 2 episode 14 and I've decided that Stephan and Damon are far too good looking for their own good and Elena is as dumb as it gets. I can't count how many times I've wanted to slap her in the last 2 series. Wake up woman! On a good note, I can't tell you how many times I've started jumping around my living room because "OH MY GOD NO! NO THAT'S BAD! VERY BAD! NO NO NONONONONONONONONOOOOOO!!". Bref, all of the emotions.

Clinique "Anti-Blemish Solutions Anti-Imperfections" cleansing mask
I got this as a sample and I'm pretty sure that as soon as I've got enough cash, I'm going to buy it. It makes my skin feel super soft. I'm rubbish at explaining what it feels like and I've only used one of two samples, but I liked it.

Garnier "Micellar Water"
I got this because both my best friend, Andréa, and Eve were raving about it, so I thought to myself, well, everyone seems to be saying good stuff about it and I need a new make-up remover, might aswell give it a go. I'm glad I did. It's really good, it takes my make-up off easily as heck.

C&A Handbag
I've already spoken about this handbag in my Germany post but I am totally obsessed with it. It's super nice and easy to wear and it goes with everything. It's surprisingly spacious too which you wouldn't it to be since from the outside it looks quite small. It's from C&A, I'm not sure if there is a C&A anywhere apart from France and Germany, but who knows.

Aussie "Dual Personality" heat protection spray
I got this from a friend a while back, but I hadn't started using it until end of March beginning on April time, because she had given me a load of heat protecting sprays, but none of them had really sold me and I'd thought to myself "this actually genuinely protects my hair", and though I think that's quite a big statement, this is pretty close. Lot of love for this product.

Veet "Hair Minimizing" body moisturiser
Last but not least is this moisturiser. This is probably one of my favourite products of this month. I shave my legs, underarms, bikini area, so that means it doesn't last long at all. Like, it starts growing back the next day. So, when my friend gave this too me (bit of context, my friend is moving house and she had a massive clear out of her beauty products, so she gave me a lot of them, that's why my friend seems to give me so much stuff), I was super happy, since it's a "hair minimizing" body moisturiser, so it claimed to minimise hair growth, ergo, less hair so fast! And it works. Well, it doesn't stop it for a week, but it makes it slows the growth down.

Mama's Favourites
This is a bit of a new thing I'm starting, because since I'm now broke, I don't have that many new favourites for you guys, so that way I can fill the post out a bit. Let me know in the comments if you like it. Note: My Mum writes this. I have no say in it and she lays it out how she wants.

New Girl
Matti first introduced this series to me when I finished Suits (see last month's favourites). She had raved about it, and I love it so much. It's really funny, and I think that Jess is the coolest.

A.P.A Bows
Love them, they're very demanding and require a lot of practise but I can't help but be obsessed.

Foundation

I'd never really bothered with foundation before. It seemed pointless and concealer was doing a good enough job. I was wrong. Matti managed to convince me to let her do my make-up. She did the works and it looked great. My skin has never looked as good. (Matti forced me to say that she's appalled about how I apply it - like it matters!) So I've started to wear a lot more often. I wear the MAC "Face and Body" foundation.

What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments.

Aller Kiss,
Matti x

It's Saturday - the last day! I woke up at 11am, her Mum had bought pretzels and really nice breakfast stuff, and fabulous mango and litchi tea (that I bought 2 boxes of). Then I spent most of the morning packing.
We did some errands and Janina's mum bought me a bracelet and I picked up the tea and a couple of other things I wanted to bring back to France with me.

We skipped lunch and went directly home to quickly grab my suitcase and say goodbye to Janina's step-dad and sister and do one last check to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything. Then it was off to the airport.

To make a long story short, everyone started crying apart from me. I hugged Janina way too much and even her Mum cried. Then back to France on the plane.

My friend's parents came to pick me up and drop me off at the meeting point for my Dad to come and collect me. We went straight to the restaurent for dinner.

I spent the rest of the evening watching Britain's Got Talent (and making the most of the fact that my Dad has English TV haha)

And there we have it! My week in Germany is over! I hope you guys enjoyed my little series. Maybe I'll do it again next time I go off on my travels ? ;)
